Summary

  We are now into the quarter finals and the matches are now played best of five. What better way to kick off the round than with our two league champions Kerrie and Claire. People were excited to see the outcome of this one and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint!

  The first game was under way and it was a cagey affair, but not short on Yahtzees. Claire took the win to make it one-nil. Kerrie wasn't fazed, she knew there was a long road ahead and Claire was sucking down them Carlsbergs like a champ, so Kerrie reasoned that her faculties were bound to fail at some point. It would be silly for Kerrie to assume that this would happen sooner rather than later, and I think she did as the second game went to Claire. And she won by a good margin. Claire was now just one match away from going through. Kerrie had to stop scrolling on her phone and bring out the big guns. Well, that's exactly what she did! The third game. Kerrie came back with a vengence. She'd put her phone to one side, pushed aside all thoughts of getting Putin to empty Russia so she could go there for a week on holiday and she pulled out the win, a spectacular win at that. The fourth match was a much closer affair, but Kerrie played with laser like precision and a steely determination I have not seen from her in quite some time. She took the win and it was now two all. We were going into a decider! Everyone expected a hotly contested battle, but unfortunately that isn't what we got. It seems Kerrie was all out of competitive juices by this point, she lost the game, quite miserably I'm sad to report. So Kerrie is out, commiserations to my lovely sister and congratulations to Claire, who I don't admit to being my sister. She goes through to the semi finals. She will play either James or Isabelle.
