Summary
Chloe and Neil had the exciting privilege of getting the Head to Head fully underway. Not that you could see the excitement on their miserable little faces. To be fair, if you'd seen them you'd think someone had just died.
The first match was a rather tentative affair. They were playing very cagey. Despite their crumpled, dour faces, I got the impression that they actually wanted to win and were thus playing extra careful. It was clear that there was a lot of deliberation and they were very quiet. I respected that. Deep down in their dried up, dessicated bones they actually cared. It was a close game, but ultimately Chloe prevailed, which I think surprised her a bit, she is, after all, less experienced than most of us die hards, but she was certainly proving she had the chops to compete with the best.
The second match got underway and it was clear that Chloe had been bolstered by her win as she now seemed to have a bit of a spring in her step, a bit of extra swagger, a bit of joie de vivre. On the other side of the table the exact opposite was happening. You see, Neil has a tendency to whinge when thing are going well for him, so now he was a match behind, he was huffing and puffing like a steam train heading for the knackers yard. This did not help his cause. He didn't even perform that bad, but he made the mistake of letting the demons in and Chloe walked away with the victory and she is now through to the quater finals where she will face either Russell or Faith. Congratulations Chloe. Neil, tough luck.
