It may have escaped your notice, although I'm not sure how, but we like Yahtzee around here at the BHO Yahtzee Organisation! We like playing it, talking about it and showering in it. Alright, maybe not the last one, but I think you know where I'm coming from.
We play League Yahtzee, Champions League Yahtzee, Yahtzee Knockouts, Team Yahtzee, Online Yahtzee and we'll probably end up playing more Yahtzee if I can think of a reason, ANY reason, to do so!
We are a small group of people that share the same love for Yahtzee as each other, and it's a great time! But we're not content with that! We want to share that love with YOU. If you feel like you would fit in with us (we are a very friendly and welcoming bunch of people), why not consider becoming a member of the BHO? It's easy, it's free and you will not regret it. Let me walk you through it...
What's the point?
Now, you may not hear this from many people trying to convince you of doing something, but let's do it anyway; Do you really need to join the BHO? Of course not. Could you, as a member of free society follow the BHO Rules & Regulations without being a member? Of course you can. Can you play a perfectly decent game of Yahtzee while ignoring everything I'm saying? Of course you can. Do you need to even listen to me at all? Abso-flipping-lutley not! I'm not your mother, do as you please!
Joining the BHO won't impact your life in any meaningful way. Just yet. But in time, presuming membership grows, the benefits will become apparent and you can at least say that you got into the BHO right at the very beginning, before it did the impossible, made Yahtzee a mainstream sport (yes, sport) and made superstars out of all it's competitors... I can bloody dream, can't I?!
What do you get?
If you join up as a member you will be given your own unique membership number, which is nowhere near as exciting as it sounds, but it does mean that you are a part of a community of like minded, welcoming and extremely friendly people. You will be invited to our members only online matches that we hold every Friday night at 8:00pm GMT.
You will also be invited to join the BHO Yahtzee League, Head to Head Knockout and the various other competitions we host. There is no obligation to appear in person as scores for a Match can be set online (see our Rules & Regs page for details). There is usually an entrance fee for these competitions, but the money accrued will be handed out at the end of the Competition as prize money
Finally, if you make an impression (statistically) you could be honoured at our annual Dice Party (which you will also be invited to) that we hold to celebrate the BHO's anniversary. This will cost you nothing as you will have earned it.
Your Privacy
If you'll indulge me, I need to get serious for a little eency weency teency bit (see!). We need to discuss your privacy. I appreciate that there are many of you out there would prefer it if you were more or less invisible on the Internet. I don't blame you. Until I started this whole endeavour, I was much the same.
If you decide to join us in our League or one of our other competitions, there WILL be a summary for every Match you are involved in, this is the same for everyone. I tend to write (or attempt to write) humorous segments on how all our players performed and the ultimate result of that performance. The members of our Matches understand that I will more likely make fun of them and exaggerate certain aspects of their personality. This is never intended to be malicious and is always intended to be taken lightly. However, I understand that not everybody wants that. If you let me know before hand that this is not the kind of thing you are in to, the matter will end there. I will merely announce your score and your League/Knockout/Competition standings and that will be that! But there is one thing that the BHO does expect from you in terms of personal information and that is your name. But if that is all you want sharing then that is fine and I will never divulge any further information about you. In fact, I won't be able to, because I won't even ask.
We will obviously have you email address when you contact us, but that information will NOT go any further than my contacts list and I will never contact you regarding any third party advertising or anything else except Yahtzee. And I would only do that if it was ABSOLUTELY necessary. I cannot stand spam emails so I would never burden anyone else with them, much less be the cause of them. I hope that puts your mind at ease!
