Yep, that's me, head honcho. Not because somebody was daft enough to entrust their beloved organisation to me, no, it's because it's my organisation, and I get to choose, so there. As head honcho I carry most of the flack and perform most of the duties required by such an organisation. Not because people aren't willing to help, but because I'm a bit of a control freak and I like things doing a certain way. I am responsible for better or worse, for every sentence you read on this blog, which, while time consuming, is an absolute joy. I am the guy that ensures that matches are played with some regularity and I also devise the different competitions and leagues we play. I am the replier of emails, generator of public interest and all round smashing guy. In fact, I'm not sure what people would do to pass the time without me... something else, perhaps.
Lee Hoggarth
Vice Chairman - Head of Media
Should I ever be incapacitated and unable to fulfill my incredibly important duties, due to an ingrown toenail or a particularly nasty hangover, then Lee is my second in command. This has never happened, nor is it likely to, but it's always good to have a contingency plan. But he does come in handy in other areas too. You see, he's pretty nifty at the old graphic stuff. If you're on this blog, it would be next to impossible not to have seen our organisations logo, and what a good looking logo it is too. We have Lee to thank for that. He is also working on a promotional video advertising what we do here, so keep yer peepers open. Hopefully a nice pithy video explaining what we are about will gain more interest. Don't get me wrong, the blog is growing slowly but steadily, but it does require an investment of time, something that the youth of today are unaccustomed to. They need new information blasted at them every 3.6 nanoseconds or they lose interest. So hopefully, with Lee being one of those ilk, he can appeal to a greater demographic of people, because I must admit that these young whippersnappers and their funny ways are totally lost on me! Thanks for helping Lee and keep it up, you're a diamond.
Miles Bush
Photographer - Creative Contributer
My long suffering son, Miles, often finds himself roped in to his father's flights of fancy. But he's a good sport and generally he's always willing to lend a hand. He's is often kind enough to suggest topics for my next blog post, which can come in very handy, sometimes even I can have a creative dry spell. However, I got to thinking earlier that the match summaries would be so much better with a few action shots to go with the post. So I called on my young son and he agreed that over the course of a match, he will take some shots of us all on the job (don't be a pervert). He's a cracking young lad and I'm sure there'll be much more that I can find for him to do, but even now he's doing a cracking job. Love you son xxx
Claire Hoggarth
Chief Morale Booster - Secondary Official
More than any other human being in our organisation, Claire is easily the most enthusiastic player next to myself. When we have to split a match and I can't be there to oversee it, Claire will always be there to ensure that firstly, they actually play the game, and secondly, that it is played fairly and by the books. She is often inebriated, but she is a godsend of a sister and an amazing second pair of eyes. Many of our faction are happy to play the official matches and be done with it. Claire, however, has always got more to give. Many of the best matches I have played have been me and her, after the Championships and the Leagues have been played, putting the world to rights and just rolling some dice. She also gets others going, sometimes better than I do (I can be a bit clinical), so she absolutely deserves a spot on the team. She will be disappointed that it's a non paying position, so if you see me with a crooked nose or a black eye, you know where to look.
Yes, at the moment we are a very small team, but that's the way I like it. In time, I may need to expand our manpower, but for now we are doing fantastically. Thank you to all these people for doing their bit in their roles. In fact, some of them won't even know that they even have these roles until I post this page. So thanks in advance I guess...
