Summary
The day had come! It was time for the very last match of League Three. There was certainly tension in the air. This was primarily seeping from Russell and myself. This is understandable. You see, Russell was sitting pretty at the top of the League and I was nibbling his ankles in second. So I believe (I'm not so good at maths) that we were the only two that had any hope of winning. Even so, I needed a minor miracle...
Lee, as out of his mind on various narcotics (I suspect crack) as he was, actually came first in the match. A rarity, but it does happen from time to time. It has to be said that a double Yahtzee aided him somewhat, but who the bloody hell doesn't pray for a double Yahtzee? Lee ends the League in fifth place, which is a slight improvement from his joint sixth place position last week.
Yours truly came second with a pretty good score. But can you hear the celebration in my voice? No? Well, there may be a good bloody reason for that (not that I'm giving away spoilers or owt). I remain, depressingly second in the League. It hurts. Like a knife in a very sensitive area. But I'm sure I'll get over it. In my sixties...
Kerrie came third in the match, a mere one point away from my score. She employed her usual phone/dice/phone/dice tactic, but I don't think she employed this tactic as an effort to win, but more because she's a bit Yahtzee'd out. You can't blame her, we've been at it pretty solidly for nearly two years. She has confidently declared her retirement, but she might change her mind after the break. She finishes third in the League.
Russell came fourth in the match. Not a stellar performance by any means, but it didn't need to be. He knew he was the Champion, so much so that I think the occasion got to him a bit. It came to a point that I had to put my "Match Official's" hat on and warn him a couple of times for being a gloating wind bag. Not that it made a difference as can be seen if you look at his shit eating grin in the image below! Russell is the BHO League #3 Champion. Congratulations Rusty!
Grace finished fifth in the match. She has played the entirety of this League (her very first) from her cosy confines in the Welsh Valleys. Well, I say cosy, if you can count living in a barn, sleeping on hay, among sheep as cosy, which I supposed the Welsh just might. She finishes eighth in the League.
Neil finished sixth in the match. This is his second League, many games have been played, and I still don't think he really knows how to play! That beeing said though, he has more than managed to keep his massive schnozz above the water. He does however fall from joint sixth in the League down to his final resting place of seventh.
Claire finished seventh in the match. As previously stated, she hasn't been at her tippity top level this League, but I suspect she might have been hindered somewhat in this match. You see, she had the unfortunate honour of having to sit next to Russell for the final match, so she was forced to absorb all of his showboating and gloating, so she has my sympathy for that! Also, I think the Carlsberg is also doing nothing for her anymore, I think it might be time for an upgrade... like hand sanitizer. She finishes fourth in the League.
Millie finished eighth in the match. This League has been a bit of a shaky road for her, and the one before that... and the one before that. But there is always room for improvement in this great sport (yes, sport). I wanna see everybody do well in the League (unless they're beating me), so come on you lovely lump of Welshness, pull your socks up for the next League. She finishes tenth in the League.
Chloe, another newcomer, finished ninth in the match. I could go on another rant about how she needs to pull her socks up but I think her problems run a little deeper. Every time she plays it's always after she's finished work and she is ALWAYS frazzled! And let me tell you she works harder than anyone I know. Too hard! Chill out ya hobbit, that's not all there is!! She finishes ninth in the League.
Faith finished tenth in the match. Similar to Chloe, she is often frazzled when it comes time to play, but not from work, as we play on a weekend. No, it's usually due to her busy weekend schedules and the kids. I do wish that she would try just a little harder, I see potential, just like when I first met her. I knew she had the potential to knock out some fantastic children! With a little help from me, of course. At least I assume it was me that helped her. She, unfortunately, finishes right at the very bottom of the League. Commiserations Faith!
Our final newcomer, Jacob, finished last in the match with a troublingly low score. At the beginning of this League this rambunctious newbie showed signs of being a Yahtzee prodigy. He played awesome. However, it didn't last and his scores dwindled somewhat. But, despite this latest, toe curlingly embarrassing score, he's done pretty bloody well! He moves from fifth in the League down to sixth. He is, however, our highest finishing newcomer! So congratulations me old mucker, that's got to count for something!

So that is League #3 sewn up into a pretty little bow. Thanks to all that showed up and took part, week in, week out. It really means an awful lot. We will return for League #4 but we are going to take a little break. We still have the Champion's League to conclude. The main League will return on the 1st of November, so keep your eyes peeled! Love you all xxxxx
