Introduction
It's been a bit of a muted week for Miles and myself, inasmuch to say that not much has occurred. But there are a few crumbs. He hasn't been to school much in the past fortnight. Lazy git. I'm joking of course. Miles, unfortunately suffers from my own struggles, mainly anxiety, so I do feel sorry for him. I know what it's like and I can tell you right now, it's no fun. For anybody that thinks it's something you should just get over, then please, walk a day in our shoes. It's debilitating.
Although, whilst saying he's not too lazy to go to school, it would be nice if he didn't turn in to a neanderthal the minute you asked him to do something... ANYTHING... but, alas, I think it's an age thing rather than a personal quirk. Still, it's bloody annoying!
On a lighter note, he seems to be getting more and more into his music, which is great. Most days I hear him endlessly strumming on his electric guitar, and it gives me great hope... although the hope is that with all that strumming he will eventually learn to play a chord because I think I'm developing tinnitus.
Speaking of things I hope Miles will do, I sincerely hope that he will do something about his hair. He tells me he's growing it out. Trouble is, he had a short, back and sides previously, so at the moment he looks like a half pint Gary Glitter. Never a good look. But, yes, I will admit before someone else brings it up, I do have my own issues when it comes to grooming. Thing is, I cut my own hair. I just zip it off when it gets too long. Thing is, I'm a bit bloody lazy too, so I tend to let it get a bit out of hand myself. If I've not mentioned it before, Miles and I are definitely cut from the same cloth.
It has to be said, this week's match only happened because I forced him. I shoved the dice board under his nose and recieved a crumple faced look from him. A look I could only describe as a look a homosexual might make if presented with a vagina. A rather crass analogy, but true nonetheless. Either way, he relented, and give me a game. Cheers buddy.

Summary
I thought, for the second week running, I was gonna lose. All the way through the match, Miles was in the lead. For every roll I made, he made a better one. Story of my flipping life. What was more aggravating though, was the fact that Miles didn't seem to care. Yes, I know, I kind of forced him to play, but still, who doesn't want to beat their dad. I started to feel that all familiar feeling that only loss can do to you. But I was patient. I prioritised my bonus, which, at times didn't seem too likely. I wasn't even nearly getting what I needed, but Miles seemed to be getting bloody everything. But I am delighted to say, it didn't stay that way! When the last few rolls came about I finally got into my stride. I managed to overtake the boy and I managed to pinch the win. It was a scrappy win, but it puts me in the lead once again for at least another week, unless I can figure out a way to lose without even playing, which, given my track record is entirely possible.
Standings
Chris 2 - 1 Miles
Final Thoughts
For the third time in this mini competition we came, we bickered and we laughed at each other. Oh, and we also played Yahtzee. It's still too close to call and there is certainly no clear winner. Miles, at the moment is being a little blasé about the whole affair, but I have a feeling as the comp goes on, he'll definitely get more and more competitive, especially if he starts winning!
