Summary
Once again, Friday slinked around, as it often does and we convened for another online match of Hungry Hippos... Ya silly Billies! We didn't play Hungry Hippos, we played Yahtzee of course!! For some bloody reason, starting this match was a bloody nightmare. I don't know why, we didn't do anything that we don't normally do, we just logged on. And again, for some reason we had to log in three times. It was a right royal pain in the arse. We did get going eventually however, but the method we use now is definitely not the most conducive to enticing new players to join in. We currently use buddyboardgames.com, which, don't get me wrong, is fantastic, but it does have it's issues. So, please, if anyone out there has any recommendations on other sites or apps that can host multiplayer Yahtzee matches, please let me know! But, eventually, we got started, and it was a close one!
Jacob, that piece of shi.... ahem... wonderful player of exemplary character, came first... again. He managed to pull it out of the bag when it looked incredibly doubtful on many occasions. A great example of resilience and resolve... or out and out twatishness. Lee came second, by one point. I think it may have bothered him slightly as he posted one word in the post match chat: "bullshit". It really is true that one word can speak volumes. I came third, which was slightly disappointing as I was in the lead for a good portion of the game, and once I got my bonus, I have to admit I thought I had it sewn. Will I ever f**king learn?!?! Chloe, our only recipient of a Yahtzee this week, came fourth and for the first five or so rolls she looked a dead cert for the win. But she probably got distracted waffling on about work, which, when it comes to hobbies, definitely takes precedence over Yahtzee. More fool her. On the subject of distracted, Claire came fifth. To be clear, I'm not blaming her for being distracted but she was more than likely the recipient of Chloe's incessant work waffling. Claire, my heart goes out to you. Sixth place went to Millie, not a surprising position for her to be in at this point. I'm not saying she's disinterested because she seems to have the same Emo, angsty, teenage, "who gives a shit" attitude with just about everything. But she's sweet so we'll let her off. In last place was Russell. He played from his own abode this week, which is unusual, because he's usually at my sister's when he plays. I suspect he had one and a half eyes on his bed for the majority of the game. For those that don't know him (you don'twant to), my dad lives for two things; bed... and bed. Not that he's lazy. That man wakes up at the crack of dawn every morning, or very close to it. I don't know who Dawn is, though... I think he might have met her on Tinder.
