Introduction
After the total decimation of Miles not so long back, I felt I needed a new challenge. Now, obviously, I play a LOT of Yahtzee, but these Matches involve many players, and, in my opinion, you can only really measure yourself as a player when pitting yourself against one person in a head to head duel!
So I went around my fellow players and asked them if they would be up for a one vs. one tournament with the man himself (me). The same rules would still apply, not that they're over complicated, it's basically just a first to ten.
Well, to my surprise, everyone I asked said yes. I was amazed by their willingness, and also their bravery. It takes balls to go up against ME (yeah right).
Anyway, all this interest left me with a predicament; who do I challenge first. Well, I did it nice and fairly. I put all their names into a randomiser wheel and the last one standing would be my next victim... ahem... opponent.
So, after all that was done with, it turns out that Jacob was the last one standing and so it is he and I that will do battle over the next few weeks to find out who holds superiority over the Yahtzee board. What a naive fool he is!!
So, welcome to the first of many matches that will surely amount to no less than a Yahtzee odyssey... have fun!!
As you may know if you have read any of the Man vs Boy match summaries, I like to start each Match with a bit of a life update on whoever I'm duelling and myself and this series will be no different!
So what HAS happened with Jacob and myself? Well, as you know, we have entered a new year and me and Jacob are still licking our wounds from a terrible showing at the End of Year Knockout Championship! We were both hoofed out of the competition in the very first round. I'm sure Jacob was not happy about this, but I can tell you that I was absolutely apoplectic with rage! I had high hopes for this Championship, so much so that I could practically taste victory! But, alas, I bungled the job so terribly that I am now the laughing stock of the BHO. So that was that!
Jacob, however, was not at all surprised about leaving in the first round as this is pretty much how these kind of competitions tend to go for him. But that doesn't mean he was happy about it! You can bet your life that he was on World of Warcraft the next day taking his frustrations out on some poor defenceless villagers. The brute!!
Remind me not to piss him off in the Warcraft Realms!!!

Summary
I expected to be challenged in this series as Jacob is a fine player (just not in Knockouts) but I didn't expect to start our battle at full throttle! But that is exactly what happened! The spindly, wirey and sometimes slimy bag of bones and gristle pushed me right to the very edge. He didn't even give me chance to take a breath! Every roll I took I had to think about and consider what I might need to do on my next roll. Right up until I rolled a Yahtzee (and thank Christ I did) he was up my arse (points wise not sphincter wise, but I wouldn't put it past him). He did a fine bloody job, and I don't say that from an arrogant point of view, I say it as a man that knows just how lucky he was to get a Yahtzee when he did. I tell ya, if every Match goes this way, two things are gonna happen; firstly, I'm gonna age prematurely due to stress, secondly, this is gonna be a great series! And honestly, I don't mind sacrificing my health as long as we get a good competition and the blog gets some good content!

Well, strap yourselves in guys and gals, this could be a doozy! I have a feeling that this battle could go all the way right up until the very last roll. Or I might just batter him ten Matches to nil, OR the other way around! But whatever happens, I will guide you all the way through it, because I'm good like that!!
