Inclusivity & The BHO - A Mission Statement... Sort Of

I do hate to get serious in these posts of mine as I do like to keep them fun, and most of all, interesting. I don't like being serious! It's boring! We are all about happy, happy, happy... and Yahtzee, here at the BHO. So I really hate to make this post, but I thought I should, just so you know which side of the pitch I'm playing on. Because who knows these days, right? So you can count this post as a bit of a mission statement...
It is so depressing, in this day and age that a post like this even needs to exist! But sadly, it does. Just think about where human history has taken us and what we've been through! I won't go into details (I need to be careful with this whole post), but suffice it to say that we have had a good share of misery in our history and you would think, given that we live in the times where truth and factual information is available at just the click of a button, we would live in the most enlightened era we have ever known.
Sadly, this is not the case. The deep, dark rabbit holes of the internet are awash with misinformation and just outright lies. Now, I know you are all good, intelligent people, I know I like to think I am. But it is far too easy, and I've done it myself, to not bother doing your due diligence and checking the facts of certain statements, so you just end up taking the information you stumble upon as gospel truth. Let's face it, if this wasn't the case, we wouldn't have flat earthers!
This usually means that people can't just have opinions these days, they have to be argued over, then people get nasty, then before you know it, there are death threats flying about and everybody hates everybody else. This is not only pointless, but it's also just a waste of energy! I have read many comment threads on many, MANY subjects and I have learned just ONE thing. Not one person has ever changed the the other person's mind... So what's the bloody point?
So the BHO is taking a stand! We are here to play Yahtzee! And that's what we're here to do! Nothing more, nothing less, with a bit of friendly banter thrown into the mix! It doesn't matter where you were born, who you are attracted to, what you identify as and where you stand politically! You are all welcome! Come and join us, it's a safe space and bullying is NOT tolerated!

Just bring a sense of humour! No we don't accept bullying but we do make light hearted jokes (or at least I do in the summaries), the brunt of these jokes are usually aimed at my long suffering family! But, as much as I believe in inclusivity, I also believe in humour. To be clear, anything I say on this blog is ALWAYS meant to be taken as a joke and it in no way reflects my actual beliefs as a person and my humour does not in any way reflect my views! If I tell a joke, that's exactly what they are supposed to be... jokes. It's okay if you don't find them funny, many people don't, but don't blame others for laughing, or assume they should come with an apology because you didn't, OR get annoyed because I made them! Humour is subjective, I get that, but this blog is not the place to delve in to the rights and wrongs of political correctness. I don't believe in inequality or any kind of discrimination and if I make a joke that may suggest so, then take it as that, a joke. So I guess I should say (although I really shouldn't have to), if you are easily offended, then I wouldn't bother with this blog, even though I hope you would. I never cross the line (in my opinion, I'm certainly no Frankie Boyle. Google him, he IS a twat) but I know how sensitive the world seems to be at the minute so I thought it was important that I mentioned it!
When it comes right down to it, we are all here for good vibes, good Yahtzee and bloody good banter! Let's not make it any more than it needs to be. The planet is dull enough at the moment, it really doesnt need anymore negative energy!

Love you all, take care my friends xxxx
