Match #1 Summary
After a fortnight of pretty much zero Yahtzee due to the majority of my Faction's members selfishly opting to go on holiday, we were back with a good old live match. I have to admit, after such a break, I expected a big old match brimming with renewed enthusiasm. But alas, that wasnt the case as there were only three of us. Slightly anticlimactic, but it afforded us the opportunity to play a second match also.
Russell, fresh from his holiday to Cornwall, in dire need of another one just to decompress after the first one (he did go with my sister, his daughter, Claire and her "definitely human" offspring plus her definitely half breed husband, Neil), came first with a so so score, but to be fair, we all played a bit shit. What can I say, we were rusty. Even me. But he won, and winning, despite how you may earn that win, is a win. So well done my crumbly daddy, you might not deserve it, but you got it! Claire came second with a "meh" score. I think she's still a bit lethargic after her holiday, especially after all the Cornish crumpet she had gobbled. Not the delicious breakfast dish but the Cornish eligible bachelors down there. So, yeah, I think her score was secondary to her very, very sore throat. Bless. I, who had not been on holiday (because nobody wanted me) and HAD played Yahtzee in the last fortnight, came last with a pathetic score. F-ing typical!! I may have gotten myself a little overexcited at the prospect of getting back into the Yahtzee groove, but that is hardly a worthy excuse for a person of such experience, so I'll just call my performance what it was; an absolute cock up. But it wasn't the apocalypse it could have been. There was still another match to be played.

Match #2 Summary
After the crushing defeat I suffered in the first match, I needed to do much better in this match, if not just for my own sanity. I am pleased to report I bloody nailed it! A Yahtzee on my first turn, a Large Straight on my second turn and a Yahtzee on my third. I was like Mike Tyson throwing a devastating triple right hook. Or at least that's how I felt, the reality was probably far less dramatic. The rest of the match sort of just coasted along for me but I had done enough to win the match and the victory was flipping sweet! Claire came second with a pretty solid score. I did have a slight lull in my own scores somewhere in the middle of match so I was, admittedly, a bit worried that Claire could catch up to me. She did try, bless her, but it wasn't to be. She probably wasn't too bothered, she was likely still fantasising about the eligible Cornish men, with their Scrumpy swilling physiques and their "Ohhh Arrrr" accents. Whatever blows your frock up, I guess. And finally, from the highest high in the first match to the lowest low in the second, Russell came in third. The old man was not overly concerned, though. At just under a century old, he has learned to take pretty much anything in his stride. Because of this, he is a master of patience and it's very rare to see him angry or annoyed, he's like the BHO's very own Ghandi. That's not to say he can't be a sarcastic and annoying old git, but he would be boring if he wasn't. Plus, he arleady won the first match so what more does he want?!
