| Which one is Isabelle? |
What can I say about this young pleb? Well, it turns out, quite a lot. She is my second born and, of all the ladies I know, she is the most like me. If you told her this, she would no doubt deny it and probably get a bit narky at the very suggestion, but even so, it's true. She is supremely sarcastic, like me, hard headed, like me and she's also a fantastic human... like me...
Also, just like her father, she flew the nest as soon as possible and made me a Grandad. Originally I was worried... it's what dad's do. But, despite what people seem to think, I am very happy that she has proved me wrong. She has given me a beautiful Grandchild in Ava and she has become very independent. She works with her Mother, looking after wee young children and from what I have heard, she is doing a great job of it. She is a great Mother (isn't it amazing how women just know what to do? Men have to learn these things. I know I'm still learning) and she is incredibly sensible (something she doesn't get from me). Too sensible some might say. I'm not saying she should become a piss head or whatever, but I do wish she would have just a bit more fun.
Unfortunately, Isabelle is what you might call a reluctant member of the BHO. She has played in a couple of competitions, but she is not what you would call a regular. I think this is because it's me that has asked her, and like I said, she is hard headed and I think she enjoys teasing her Dad! But that's okay, as long as she is happy.
But whatever, Isabelle, I know that I don't say it a lot, and I know that we have our boggles, but just know that I love you and that I am incredibly proud of you. You have become an amazing Mother and Ava is a fantastic little girl. But today is your Birthday, I hope that you make it all about yourself, because I know that you Mothers tend to forget about themselves, but you deserve it, so make it happen. Have a great Birthday, make sure you enjoy yourself!
So from me, and the rest of the BHO, Happy Birthday. I love you more than anything... yes, even more than Yahtzee!
