Summary
Isn't it strange that Friday seems to come around roughly once a week? Freaky! But it's good for the BHO, because we get to play a live match. A live match that we just so happened to play this Friday just gone. How bloody weird is that?
Miles, yes Miles.... my son..... Miles.... I know sit down and calm yourself, but it IS true. Miles came first this week! But not only did he come first... he came first with style. Two Yahtzees and a cocky attitude saw him riding high! I don't normally put up with arrogance, but Miles wasn't necessarily arrogant, he just knew that he was dominating the match. But that doesn't mean I didn't "accidentally" trap his head in a non-specific door frame after the match!!
Lee, my free spririted, herbally minded nephew, came joint second. Now, joint anything may sound like a bad result, but for Lee, it isn't, for two reasons. Firstly, it's been a long time since he has even seen second in ANY match, so well done. Secondly, the boy loves a joint ANYTHING. In fact it is incredibly difficult to catch him in a moment when he is actually with us on this very normal planet, as he is usually somewhere between Jupiter and Mars. But either way. Well done!!
Claire came joint second with Lee. Claire, Lee Lee's mummy does not partake in the Devil's Lettuce. But she does partake in the Dutch Broth, or Carlsberg to the rest of us. Normally this could be an issue, but i don't think it was this time. I think she had work the next day. This means that she would have been taking her lager intake sensibly (if you can imagine such a thing). However, it does happen every now and again. But still, she came joint second. If she was obliterated, she might have been first... but it would seem that if she decides to be sensible, it does have an effect on her performance. Whether this is true, we may never know... let's face it... how often is she sober?!?!
I came fourth, which is not optimal, but I don't mind telling you that I certainly was NOT sober... in fact, I was a bit wonky, plonky, and a bit all over the place... and annoyed at my shonky result. But to be fair, I suppose, I didn't do THAT bad! But I still wanted to kill someone!! Once again (which happens often) I started off pretty bloody well, and then it all went to shit!! But to be fair, sober or arseholed, it would have probably gone that way anyway! My luck always seems to dribble away like a premature hooker's customer.
And who would have thought it?! James decided to play!! I was absolutely gobsmacked when he decided to play in the BHO League, but I never expected him to play extra games! But I have to say, I'm pleased. Why? Because he's bloody good at it! Everrytime he plays he make some decent moves! Yes, he may be fifth this time, but in the Knockout he played, he got to the quarters (I think) and I think he could do amazing in the League! So all these extra games are just extra practice. Keep it up pal!!
Russell, the octogenarian, came sixth. He usually does pretty well in the live matches, then when it comes to an important match, like a League match, he's bloody rubbish!! Well, this week he was absolutely garbage in the the live match.... so who knows, he might storm the League match.... I doubt it... but could happen....
Millie came seventh... but who the bloody hell can blame her? Not you!! Try it pal! I'll knock you out! She plays every week in the live matches, plus she plays the League, and has done for as long as I can remember! She is dedicated, 100%! If I hear otherwise, especially from Lee (I know what you're like) then I'll have some serious words with you all!! She is never really at the top of the tree, but do you know what? At least she is trying to climb it! So, Millie, you have my respect! Much, Much, MUCH respect!!!
