Blog # 4 - BHO Jr. - Email... Still waiting
Those that know me know that I am not the most patient human being on the planet. So I sent out my email to my little girl's school last Friday asking if it would be okay to hand out Yahtzee Packs (see previous blog posts). It's now Tuesday and I have heard nothing. Call me naive, but if I send an email, I pretty much expect a respense within 24 hours. I know, unreasonable. But there is a reason for it. If I don't get a response after the week is out, I have to move on to plan B, which is either call them or go and talk to them. Quite frankly, both of these options terrify me. It might sound pathetic but I hate making phone calls and talking to people face to face. Why? Because I'm fairly good at writing and I can say exactly what I want to get my point across! If I have to "perform live" then forget it. I freeze up, sound like an absolute idiot and more often than not, fail to get my point across in any way, shape or form!
So I have my toes and fingers crossed that I will get a response before the end of the week!!
More positively, the Yahtzee packs have started to form, slightly. I had ordered 100 professionally printed sets of Yahtzee rules. They are now ready for collection. So at least I'm happy that we are getting SOMEWHERE. But there's a long way to go and hopefully it doesn't involve talking to strangers... or maybe it should... how else will I get over myself, after all?
