Summary
Well, what a bloody Match this was. It certainly brought about a few power shifts in the League!
Miles won the Match with a barnstorming performance! Where he pulled it from, I have no idea, but a few more Matches like this and he could be a serious contender, that's if his new woman doesn't begin to cloud his judgement! He moves from joint tenth in the League up to eighth.
Russell finished second in the League, once again showing us that he is a fully fledged Yahtzee badass. For years he's been foggy in his faculties, but now he's as sharp as they come. I don't know if it's recreational drugs or the fact that his Grindr account is finally getting some action. Whatever it is, it's working. He moves from fifth in the League all the way up to second!
Lee came third in the Match. He must be getting vertigo! It's been a long while since he finished in this high of a position. Could this be a sign of things to come? A new Lee for a new year.... I doubt it. He does, however, move up in the League from twelfth to ninth.
Nestled right underneath Lee in fourth place is Millie. Not an unusual position for Millie. Not fourth place, I mean nestled underneath Lee, the dirty pair! Anyway, she managed a pretty good score and she sees herself move up in the League from sixth up to fourth. Good going!
Jordan, the Pride of Wales, came fifth in the Match. Another strong performance from someone that, while not a bad player, has been a bit middling this season. This doesn't mean he's shite overall, not by any means, but sometimes it takes a while to find your footing in the hurly burly world of competitive Yahtzee. And this is his first League! He moves from eighth in the League up to seventh.
Lily came sixth in the Match. Now things are getting really weird! Sixth isn't normally the greatest position to find yourself in, but for Lily, this is pretty bloody miraculous! It's not that Lily isn't capable, it's just that she is a bit too air headed to concentrate for an entire Match. But all that changed this time around! Because of this she moves up from fourteenth in the League to joint twelfth.
Seventh place went to Kerrie. It's been a tricky League for her so far. I think the wind might have gone out of her sails a little bit lately. But that's okay, even the great Ronnie O'Sullivan has fallen out of love with snooker from time to time! She does however, move from ninth in the League down to eleventh.
Our resident Orc, Jacob, finished eighth in the Match. Now, if I know Jacob like I think I do, this recent run of naff results will be really hurting him. Don't get me wrong, he's still doing well, but he must be feeling things slipping through his fingers (with any luck). He remains first in the League, but boy is he hanging on by a thread!!
Ninth place went to my lovely wife, Faith. Another middling score from my darling wench. I do wish she'd try a bit harder, because I know she can do better. But at this point, she might be doing it out of spite. Everything I want her to do she seems to do the opposite. So I might just tell her that I want absolutely zero sex. I might get some then! She does move up in the League though, from thirteenth up to joint twelfth with Lily.
Even Molly stayed in the top ten this time! Well, she finished tenth in the Match, but that is still in the top ten! It's like we have entered the bloody Twilight Zone! Either way, she managed to stay sober enough for long enough to get a decent score (for her, at least). She does, however, remain fifteenth in the League. But at least she's on her own this time!
Claire, who came eleventh in the Match, is doing a great job of helping us forget that she is a former Champion. I would not like to speculate as to why she is playing so horrendously, but I'm going to anyway. I assume she is having trouble at home. She has had a manatee that moved in decades ago and she just cannot get rid of it (if you know, you know). She is now at the very bottom of the League as opposed to joint fifteenth.
Grace finished twelfth in the Match. A bit of a blip from my lovely daughter. She has been riding high so far, with a run of fantastic scores. It must be that ultra clear Welsh air. Still, she still isn't doing bad at all! She moves from joint first in the League down to third.
The manatee... sorry, scratch that, I mean Neil, came thirteenth in the Match. He has also proved that he has the Yahtzee chops when he can be bothered. But this was a bad week. He must have been craving some kelp or summat. He moves from joint third in the League down to fifth.
Little old me took an honest to goodness nose dive this week, coming fourteenth in the Match. It was honestly my worst performance of the League so far, and boy, has it cost me! I move DOWN, you heard that right, down from joint third in the League to sixth (bloody sixth!).
Chloe, the busiest of all the bees we have here at the BHO, came fifteenth. But, honestly, as busy as she is, and she is, these excuses will only get you so far! She's not doing too bad, generally speaking, but she really needs to shake off the blasé attitude she has had pretty much her whole life and put some bloody effort in! She moves from seventh in the League down to tenth. Tut... tut...
And then there was our very own little plant pot of a boy, James, who came sixteenth in the Match. This was not entirely surprising. He's one of those kids that gets super excited about something then gets borderline obsessed with that thing. Trouble is, that thing, so far, has never been Yahtzee!! He moves down from joint tenth in the League down to fourteenth. COME ON PAL!!!!!!
