Summary
What a beautiful day it was this Friday. It may have been freezing cold and drizzly outside, but to me it was positively balmy. Of course, the whole day was lifted by the events of the weekly BHO Online Live Match. Let me explain.
I came first. Does that explain things a little?? It looked a little bit iffy for the first half of the Match, but I kept my cool, stayed patient (got a Yahtzee), then the win just practically walked into my hands like a baby duckling, abandoned by it's mother, waddling over to its rescuer. I accepted the win in my usual magnanimous way, but it sure was nice to knock Jacob off his perch!!!!
Speaking of which, Jacob came second. To be fair, he played a bloody good game and he must have thought that he had the Match sewn up at one point. Alas, it wasn't to be, and that makes me happy. This is not because I have anything against the adorably spindly fella, not at all. In fact, it's more to do with the fact that when it comes to the Live Matches he is far and away the best player in the BHO... and he is not particularly humble about it either! So, it's always nice to get one over on the smarmy git! Sorry Jacob xxxxx
Kian, our noobiest of noobs, came third with a score that was certainly nothing to sniff at. After all, if he had got just three extra points he would have finished second, AND if he was a halfway decent player he might have even beaten ME. But no, he needs a bit more practice before he can even dream of that! Just take that statement on face value please. Do NOT look up any previous results... no point... ahem...
Claire proved once again that she is a dying star in the Yahtzee world by coming in fourth. It's actually getting a bit depressing at this point. Such a talent, seemingly wasted. It's getting to a point now that myself and a few of my fellow BHO members are considering staging an intervention. We just can't bare to see her capitulate in this way, so we are going to get together and insist that she consumes a lot more alcohol before each match as it really seems to help. Please, pray for her.
And in last place, was Russell, yes Russell, who has been playing like a bit of a mini demon recently. But, unlike Claire, this is only one shitty Match and everyone is entitled to a bad performance every now and then (thank Christ), let's just hope that he gathers his wits together quite quickly and that Claire's unknown syndrome of terminal loss is not contagious!
