Summary
It was a fairly auspicious occasion for the Live Match this week, and for the BHO. Why? Well, because this was the first official BHO Match that I recorded for YouTube.
Now, don't get yourselves too worked up (I know you were all wetting your panties, secretly), it is by no means a high quality production. It is merely a screen recording of the match with myself attempting to add a bit of humorous commentary. But I am always honest, so it is really a video of the match with me mumbling in the background whilst getting annoyed because the other players are taking too long! But anyway, it's a start. Take a look if you want, ignore it if you don't. See below. Anyway, to the match!
I actually cannot believe it, but the very first Match "on film" saw me come first. I know, crazy! If you have read any of the Live Match summaries in the past, you might know that, for whatever reason, I do not usually do too well, so I was very happy. Obviously, winning a Yahtzee match at any point, at any time and in any situation is the pinnacle of life! But to get a victory on live (uncommon) whilst I was recording (never happened before) was something else! The stars must have aligned... or something... I'm assuming it will NOT happen again...
Millie came joint second this week! I'm telling you all, this little Welsh Cake is beginning to make her mark! It was only the week before that she came first! But it isn't just the live matches in which she is beginning to make her mark! While she may not be winning the League Matches (there can only be one winner after all), her improvement has been nothing short of intimidating! It's like a switch has been flipped and she all of a sudden just "gets" Yahtzee! I am both amazed, proud and just a little bit scared of her. I don't think it will be long before this little red haired wonder starts collecting our scalps!
Second place (along with Mille) was Jacob. I would be very happy for him, but this little shit has taken more Live Match victories than any of us. I actually thought it was going to happen this week too! Once again, he was the first to get a Yahtzee in the Match! Which is not a surprise! In the Live Matches, Jacob is an absolute sodding Yahtzee magnet. As luck would have it, this week, at least, I got a Yahtzee too, so I managed to shaft the spindly little git... with all due respect...
My wonderfully gorgeous, amazingly awesome plump, but still perky wife, Faith, came fourth. This was a good score for her. She came home from work in what could only be described as a foul mood. But, against all expectations, she actually played in the Live Match. This was unexpected but very much appreciated. I love it when when my wife joins in, she is an OG member of the BHO, but she can't always participate as she is a very busy woman. So, yes, she may have finished fourth, but I, personally, consider this a great result!
Speaking of OG BHO members, Lee came fifth. However, he has no such excuse. He played like a turd floating aimlessly down the Thames. It's ironic that he basically forced his missus (Millie) to join the BHO, and she is decimating him in every way, shape and form. I say this not to upset Lee. I say it in the hopes that he might put down the bong and sharpen up his game! D minus for effort Lee, "see me".
Russell, or Haggis (see the vid), came sixth. It was a pretty poor performance, but I'm sure he has a great excuse. An excuse that is almost impossible to dispute. Something like, "this site is shit", "it's not like it even matters" or "I have dementia"! Truth is, not one of these excuses are true. Primarily because he is just as crap when he's rolling actual dice!
Finally, we have Claire, a two time Champion... yep, I know, pa...the...tic... but again, she loves an excuse. It was probably something like, "I went to Asda (Walmart) and they didn't have any Carlsberg, so I had to choose a beer with some flavour". While I will attest to the fact that she tends to drink the most tasteless alcohol available, and it does actually (and inexplicably) seem to improve her performance, I simply cannot understand how purchasing a more premium lager would be such a detriment to her game. Either way, I don't know what's going on, what I do know is that our most consistent player of the past has now become a sloppy shadow of her former self. And she had a pretty sloppy shadow to begin with!!!
