Summary
Well, thank Christ for that. After a weeks delay due to Russell's birthday shindig, we got the fourth League match going the Saturday after. Unfortunately, not everyone could make it. So we had no choice but to make it a split match. A tactic that has worked for us in the past... Most of those people played their matches in a timely fashion, but getting Neil and Chloe to play their match before the end of the week was literally like pulling bloody teeth!
I am happy to say though, that this Thursday, they finally got their fingers out of their bum holes and got it done! So I am now, however late, able to give you a full and frank summary of League Three, Match number four!
Chloe, yes Chloe, ended up coming first, despite the fact the she was the one that kept putting off the match! Where the hell is poetic justice when you need it? If I had my way, she would be punished for her tardiness. But I never get my way. Because of her teeth itchingly annoying win, she climbs from joint sixth to fourth in the League. Bint. Second in the match was Faith with an astonishing score! I told you all didn't I? All she needed was a bit of focus, and BOY, did she find it. This raises her to third in the League from fourth. Not a huge jump but it's certainly the right direction. GO ON WIFEY! Grace took third in the match. She was one of the players that couldn't make the match. She has this silly excuse that she's in another country, which I think is just weak. But whatever. She actually managed a terrific score, it must be all the ultra fresh air she gets in Wales. However, from now on, there will be a test before every match from now on. Welsh air is an instant disqualification. But for now she improves her position from ninth to seventh in the League. Well done... for now... I came fourth. Normally I would be quite bitter about such a result, but for me, at this point, it was good enough and I wasn't complaining. This is a rarity as I am a chronic complainer. My only regret is that more people didn't finish below me. Not so I could take more points, though that would be nice, but to put more of a gap between my biggest rival at the moment, Jacob. But it is what it is and I am now first in the League, up from second, it's not much, but it's still first! Claire came fifth in the match, and to be fair if this was any other match, she would be a lot closer to the top, but this week's scores were pretty special, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. She was even primed for action too; not too squiffy so she'd have trouble focusing on the dice, but not too sober that the shakes she gets when she hasn't been drinking would stop her from rolling the dice altogether. So I do feel for her, but I'm not sure she was bothered. She just had another beer. She was fifth in the League, all on her lonesome, now she's joint fifth in the League! But at least she seems to be trending upwards. Millie came sixth in the match, with a decent score. I felt very happy for her as she hasn't done well so far... and she has Lee for a boyfriend! She managed to pick herself up from all the way at the bottom of the League... ALL the way up to tenth. But the only way is up, right? Jacob came seventh, not a position he is used to, which was made evident. As soon as the match was over he grabbed my table with both hands and flipped it over. He punched me square in the face and left the room. It was only the next morning when I realised that he'd actually shat on my doorstep... only joking. He's a good loser, just a terrible winner. He moves from first in the League to second. Because of ME! Mwahaha! Kerrie managed eighth place in the match with a rather dismal effort and because of her unfortunate performance, she slumps from third place in the League down to joint fifth with Claire. Russell took ninth in the match and he's lucky things didn't end even worse for him. It's strange, he didn't really seem that distracted, but it was his birthday recently, so perhaps he's contemplating his own mortality. Lee continued his terrible run by finishing tenth. It was a shocking result for the former "mouth". He has been incredibly quiet of late, and it's no surprise as he's been playing like shit. That makes me happy. He falls from tenth place in the League down to the very bottom. Ha. Ha. Ha. Finally, Neil finished last, with a pathetic effort. Things really aren't going well for him. He falls all the way from joint sixth down to ninth in the League. Dear oh dear.
