Summary
As we all know, or should by now, Friday night is Live Night. The night where we all get together digitally and battle each other on the online dice board from our respective abodes. So you'll never guess what... that's EXACTLY what we did this Friday just passed! Didn't expect that, did ya?
I, yes, little old me, took the top spot, but it was by no means a comfortable victory. Every other bloody role I would find myself playing catch up. But I dug my heels in and scrapped out a victory. But it's all good, a win is a win, and after all, they can't all be barnstorming victories can they? Claire came in second. She was my main threat, pretty much from start to finish, but she didn't quite have the stones to finish me off. Still, she gave a good performance and fought hard. She can be incredibly stubborn when she wants to be, like the time she asked me to lock her in the cellar of the pub my parents used to have. She insisted that I turn off the lights or even let her out. For context, that cellar was a truly creepy place, but she's that stubborn she had to prove to herself that she could do it. Good on her. I wouldn't have done it! Grace managed to nestle herself into third place. She missed last week's Live match due to work commitments, (come on Grace, get your priorities right) so I think she wanted to make a bit of an impact this time, but she just missed the boat. But third is not bad and to be honest she wasn't that far behind Claire or myself. Yep, it was a tight one, as the Welsh man said to the sheep. Kerrie stole fourth place with an okay score. I was a bit baffled actually as she got herself a Yahtzee. Now, obviously a Yahtzee on it's own is not a match winner, but usually when Kerrie gets one her game shifts up a gear and she plays tenaciously, so I don't know what happened. She was probably a bit distracted because she was booking a show or a holiday. This is often the case and it can command a large portion of her attention. Miles came fifth with a less than optimal score. He was also probably a bit distracted. Honestly, he has the attention span of a cat. In fact, if he starts to get on our nerves we just shine a laser pointer on the floor and just watch him chase it... what? It's good exercise! Russell took sixth place. He was probably ALSO distracted by Kerrie being distracted because she was "probably" booking a show or holiday. This is understandable because whenever Kerrie does this, Russell's wallet usually ends up being lighter when she's done. This is all conjecture, by the way, so I could be talking bollocks, but conjecture is all I really have for these Live Match summaries. Jacob. Dear, dear Jacob. Seventh place? What the hell happened pal?! Oh, I know what happened, you had a bloody nightmare didn't ya? You did didn't ya, you gobby little stain! I promise that I am not the type of person to gloat, honestly. But if you had to listen to him every time he got a win (which is a ball achingly regular occurrence) you'd feel pretty smug too! In last place, unfortunately, was my darling wife, Faith. It's a bit unfair really. Everytime there is a Live Match she is always putting our little munchkin of a daughter to bed, so she is ALWAYS distracted, but it's not her fault, she's juggling Yahtzee and getting our girl to close her defiant little eyes and go to sleep. Don't get despondent Faith, keep at it (could I have sounded any more condescending?).

Well, that was this Friday's Live match summary. Don't forget, you can join in too if you fancy it. Just keep an eye on the blog, check out our upcoming events page and our socials, the usual ones, or you can email me at bhoyahtzeeorg@gmail.com for any queries.

  See you next time, homies!!
