Summary
Another Live match has passed, and another bloody faff getting it started. I really do need to find a better format on which to host our weekly online matches, but as research has suggested, it is far easier said than done. Hardly optimal for enticing new folks to the fold. I'll find somewhere eventually, I'm sure. On the bright side, we did have a new player in our midst this week, Jordan. While not a complete stranger (he's Grace's Welsh bit of crumpet), he was certainly new to the Friday live matches. So, welcome Jordan, don't be a stranger! It would be nice to assure him that live matches didn't always take about six years to get going, but, alas, that would be bullshit!
Jacob, yes Jacob, that World of Warcraft playing, vagina knitting, old lady stalking twat, only went and won again (FYI, only the old lady bit isn't true... probably). After two, yes two, Yahtzees and his bonus, he just about managed to sneak the win! Second place went to Rusty Bob, who could have actually won the game. In fact, it came down to his last roll. He needed a Large Straight, and if he had gotten it, he would have beaten Jacob for sure. I think it's fair to say that every player that wasn't Jacob was rooting for the old man on his last roll, but it just wasn't to be. He was probably distracted by memories of that time when he was scalped by a member of the Comanche tribe in the early 1800's of the American west. But still, he did bloody well and he deserves more praise than Jacob, because Jacob doesn't deserve it any more. After the top two, the scores dropped dramatically. Claire, in third place, was the highest of those low scores. She didn't do anything wrong; in this match that is, everything else she's done in her life is up for debate. She just just didn't manage that second Yahtzee, and we all know that a second Yahtzee is pretty much a death sentence for anyone that doesn't also get one. I was behind Claire with by a measly two points in fourth place. Which, in all honesty, is actually quite surprising. Maybe I was a little bit stressed because of the faff that occured actually getting the match started, but it felt like every roll I took went absolutely nowhere! So, I can't really be annoyed at coming fourth... but I am anyway! Grace came fifth, with one of them "meh" scores we talk so much about. She can be a big hitter when she wants to be, but she seemes to have gone off the boil recently. I think she may be a bit a bit busy with diddling sheep (y'know, Wales). But at least she continues to try, and that, in and of itself is worthy of respect! Jordan finished sixth. But how can i take the piss? He's played less games in total than I do in a week and it was his first time playing online, so it's pretty hard to disparage him. BUT, he is, y'know... Welsh! I sincerely hope that this isn't the last time we have played together. He's a pretty bloody smart bloke, it may take him a bit of time to develop a legit strategy, but he'll definitely get there. Don't give up Jordan!! Now, if there's one fella that doesn't have the excuse of being a noob, it's definitely Lee. Come on, Lee... not ! No, the slimy git deserves a bit of a lesson. Maybe save the Devil's lettuce until after the match?? And in last place came Faith. Same as last week, she did not have much in the way of distractions, so I expected a bit more from her, but nevermind. She was probably thinking about the next meal she can choose to ruin (she has a knack). She needs to learn to be more single minded. If she can do that, I genuinely think she can do so much better, she just spends far too much time constantly thinking about ten things at once. Come on Faith, as much as I take the piss, I know you can do better!
