The Champion's League is about to begin and I couldn't be happier. What is the Champion's League you might ask? Firstly, where the HELL have you been? Secondly, I understand that most of you have much more important things to think about!
Basically this Saturday, the Champion's League begins! What is the Champion's League? Well, if you just chill out for a minute, I'll tell you! So, what is the Champion's League? Or the League of Champion's? Calm down... the Champion's League? I'll TELL YOU... HONEST!!
Basically, the Champion's League is a League (durr) that is reserved for the highest scorers of the previous League. This year it fell to Russell, Claire, myself and Kerrie, to see who was the Champion of Champion's. BUT, for whatever reason, you will have to ask her yourself, Kerrie did not feel like joining in this time around. Why? Like I said, I don't know. But this is perfectly within her rights and fair enough. But it did leave me in a bit of a predicament. What do I do now? This has never happened before. So my first thought (and the one I actually ended up using) was to go with the next one along in the League.
So, welcome Lee, I am sure you will make a valuable addition to the Champion's League.
It was suggested (by Lee himself actually) that we should actually use a player, that during last year actually won a Championship. This is a fair comment... BUT... There have been a few, so lef me thinking, how do we choose them fairly? So I thought we should stick with the League positions. This may change in the future, but I'm hoping that this is a rare occurrence and those that qualify for the Champion's League will join us when we play xxx
Either way, I can't wait to get started... and we actually play for cash this time... it might not be much, but itenough for us to aim towards. Not that I need a reason. Some of these reprobates do though!!
