Summary
It was Saturday. And that meant only one thing. Head to Head Championship time! There were supposed to be two scheduled matches that particular evening; James vs Isabelle and Lee vs Molly. Molly showed us all that her promises mean absolutely bugger all and she abandoned us to go smoke meth with some degenerates. But nevermind. Isabelle and James, however, were present and surprisingly willing... sort of. So we got on with it. The battle of the amateurs.
Both Isabelle and James spent the first match reminding themselves what the rules were, so it wasn't exactly a nail biter. Nevertheless James was a bit quicker on the uptake than Isabelle and he tooke the victory, making it one nil. Isabelle soon fought back in game two. I think she was pretending that she was playing her other half which stirred up feelings of anger and resenment. As a result she fought hard and took the win, evening things up, making it one all. For game three James decided he needed to stop thinking about males with flowing blonde hair and doe eyes and get down to the task at hand. Which, to his credit, he did. He managed to cinch the game and was in the lead once again. Iasabelle really needed to win game four to stay in the match. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. She just couldn't regain that fighting spirit from game two, played somewhat miserably and lost. Sadly that means it's time to say goodbye to Isabelle. Thank you for playing, darling daughter, hopefully we see you again. Congratulations goes to James, who is through to the semi final and will play Claire. Yes, it's mother vs son in what will no doubt be a gripping match. Come on James, give her what for!
