Summary
It was a Wednesday. An unusual day to be having a BHO Yahtzee match, but the kids are off school for Easter so we thought, why the hell not? It was the turn of Lee and Molly. Brother vs sister. It had all the makings of a titanic tussle that can only be brought about by a sibling rivalry that has existed for almost two decades. Molly prepared for the match by doing the usual, drinking heavily and moaning. Lee had an interesting approach towards match preparation, most notably in the form of herbally enhanced baked goods. Not quite the performance enhancers I would opt for personally, but whatever floats your boat.
The first game went to Lee. But only just. It was a close game, back and forth all the way. Molly continued her diatribe of pissing and moaning, creating her own commentary of sorts, but with a bitter and chavvy edge. Lee was also incredibly talkative, I suspect for entirely different reasons. Game two went to Lee also, and by a greater margin. Molly was still grumbling about anything and everything, but I had noticed a distinct change in Lee's demeanor. He had started giggling a lot and was talking quite a bit of nonsense. But regardless, he pulled out the win, and he needed just one more to make it to the semi finals. Molly turned it around in game three, it was close but she got it. I think she had noticed Lee, who's head had drooped and the talking was now reduced to an almost indecipherable mumble, and she realised she could exploit this to her advantage. It worked. Game four went her way also. Lee had found himself in a bit of a predicament, although I don't think he noticed, because at this point he was seeing pink elephants. He would need to regain at least some of his faculties quick or it would be curtains for him. The final game came along. This was it. All or nothing for both of them. Had Lee regained any of his faculties? No. In fact he was even worse. Molly had the perfect opportunity to grasp the bull by the horns and take it all the way. Is that what she did? No. The silly arse fluffed it. So the giggling, red eyed, cake munching zombie clinched the match and he moves on to the semi finals where he will face Russell. Molly, commiserations, but at least you have something valid to complain about now.
