YAHTZEE BULLETIN - 23/10/26

 

  Well, a good day to you, young squires and maidens... yeah, enough of all that! Anyway, I'm back with a new bulletin, which means only one thing... I have news! I know, you're all wetting yourselves in excitement, aren't ya?

  Anyhow, as you may probably know, I spend most of my free time, and I have a lot of it, cooking up ideas to make the BHO a bit more interesting. Sometimes these ideas are totally off the wall and I would be embarrassed to tell them to my dog. But sometimes, just sometimes, I come up with a thinkle that might just be somewhere half decent. So hear me out, would ya?

  Yahtzee, in the BHO's eyes, has always been a communal affair, multiple players and all that. Even the Head to Head Championship is a knockout. And it pains me to say it, but there is quite a lot of bravado when it comes to our competitors. They can also tend to cause a bit of friction, (us Yahtzee players don't tend to make very good losers), so I thought why not let them just duke it out... One on One!

  So the idea is, if one player has had just about enough of another player's waffle, they can challenge that player to a One on One. If the challenged player accepts, they will enter a BHO One on One Match (kind of like a long duel), which is a best of 15 (first to 8) Match (tournament, whatever) and whomever wins, ends the dispute. But here's the kicker; it WILL be an official Match, whoever wins WILL recieve a Champion's Badge and they will be forever a part of our official Champion's log. Also, there is no time constraint. They can play the Match in one evening OR they can play as and when they are available! So a Match could take a day or a year, it really doesn't matter... but it MUST get done! A date for the Match's start WILL be set, therefore it will be a part of the official BHO Calendar. This may or may not be a cash Match, but that is down to the competitors to work out for themselves! The BHO is merely the host of the Match and we will profit from it in any way! Like we do with all the other Tournament... ha (sarcasm)!

  So there it is, laid out in full. I'm pretty excited about this one, I think it will churn out some interesting Matches. Oh, and if YOU have a grudge with someone and wish to settle it over a Match of Yahtzee, please, let me know! I'll stick you on the calendar! All I ask is that you send me the results in order, a few minor details and permission to publish the results and you're good to go!
