Summary
The League may be over for now, but there is still a ways to go in the good old Core Championship. So, as soon as the final League match concluded, we didn't mess about, we got straight down to it.
I dominated the match thanks to a couple of sneaky Yahtzees I'd been saving up my sleeve. Okay, okay it was just good fortune, but it still felt bloody good. It's nice to come first in a game you invest so much time in from time to time. I managed to grasp first place in the table, which also felt good, but I am by no means counting my chickens, it's gonna be a tussle, but I'm ready to defend my place from any challenger! Bring it on! Claire managed to prove that she hasn't become completely useless by coming in second in the match. She played well, despite the fact that we had reached the point in the evening where she usually starts to slur her words and waffle complete nonsense. On this particular night she had been doing that pretty much since the time I arrived at her gaff. Good performance or not, she remains third in the table. Russell came third in the match. He was no doubt still seething over his failure to secure second place in the League. I think he was also struggling to see the dice through his tears. He remains bottom of the table. Would you believe it? No sooner is she crowned the League two champion, Kerrie dropped a bollock and ended coming in last in the Core Match. It could have been that she was still experiencing a huge adrenaline high from the overwhelming excitement of the League and was struggling to concentrate, who knows. But I wasn't complaining. Because of her lacklustre performance, I got top spot in the table and Kerrie dropped down to second. But it's still tight, tight, tight!
