As the second League has reached it's conclusion, we thought it would be prudent to resurrect the Team Championship that had been languishing, unplayed, since bofore this blog was a thing, not for any particular reason, I think the League had ironically picked up momentum (the delays being the sole reaon it was created), so there wasn't much time to fit it in.
For those of you unsure about how the Team Championship works, I'll fill you in.
There are four teams in our Championship; The Scrubbers, Fringe McGee, Rusty Flakes and The Coke Heads. One player from each team plays a match, then the other player from those teams play a second match. So two matches make a complete Team Championship match. At the end the scores for each player are then added together and are added to the overall total. The first team to reach 10,000 points overall are the winners. Confused? Me too. Maybe if you read on you'll get it!
Results - Match #3 - Leg 1
1. Scrubbers (Faith) - 357
2. Fringe McGee (Claire) - 347
3. Coke Heads (Kerrie) - 207
4. Rusty Flakes (Russell) - 177

Summary
The first leg threw up a bit of a surprise as Faith managed first place, with a respectable score, not something often witnessed by spectators hoping for a decent score from her. It could be due to the fact that she didn't have our daughter mithering her every two minutes. This is always a plus. Another surprise came from Claire with an almost equally impressive score, probably due to the fact that she'd only had time to get in a measly twelve beers. On any other day, it would be enough to take the win, but unfortunately it wasn't to be. She clamed second place in leg one. Securing third place was Kerrie with a bit of an iffy score. The Yahtzees that were so familiar to her during the League seem to be proving a little elusive of late. But it's still early, and as we know, anything can happen. Now, THIS is where things get interesting. The idea of the Team Championship is that the teams can conferr in both matches, therefore increasing, in theory, the scores. Well, Russell and I were the only team to conferr... and Russell... finished last. There will be an internal enquiry into who is to blame, but my intial thoughts are that it's Russell's fault and that's the way it'll stay for as long as we're losing. It's only fair... ahem...

Summary
There were more suprises to be had in the second leg of the match as Millie, yes, Millie took the top spot. She seems to be enjoying a bit of an upswing lately. Perhaps Lee is spending a little more time in her company rather than spending so much of it on his "own". We may never know. What we do know is that thanks to Claire and Millie's efforts, Fringe McGee have risen to the top of the Team Championship having previously lingered in third place! Second place in the second leg belonged to my good self, with a rather dreary score, as usual my bark is much worse than my bite and I am still yet to prove that I am the Yahtzee Master I declared myself to be all those months ago. Because of this (and Russell's dismal effort), Rusty Flakes has dropped from second in the Championship down to third. Lee only managed to secure third place in the second leg, most likely due to the fact that all the attention he has been giving Millie has left him knackered. Because of this, Kerrie and Lee's efforts saw them drop from first place in the Championship to second, with a bit of ground to make up, it must be said. As stated, there were a few surprises thrown up in this resurrection of the Team Championship, but alas, some things never change. Molly managed to finish last, with a bit of a whimpering score. But in her defence, she was tired and in a bloody evil mood. Even with Faith's brilliant victory in the first leg, Mollie did not add nearly enough to help them. The Scrubbers remain in last place in the Championship. Tut. Tut. Tut.
