Summary
After a two week hiatus due to Claire malingering in the hospital, she was finally allowed to return home and we were back at it. I think it's fair to say that the break had left us all a bit rusty, and it was reflected in our rather lacklustre scores. Yes it was a pretty poor showing across the board.
Millie took the top spot in the match, which was a shock to all involved, including Millie. She didn't exactly crush her opponents, but she did do enough to get the win, and that's all you need, so more power to her. Her win was enough to see her climb the League table, she moves from sixth to fifth place.
Kerrie, while missing out on the win, did manage to finish second in the match. Even when she doesn't get a win, the lucky tart is still never usually too far from the top. The Yahtzee Gods really do seem to have a thing for my darling sister. I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Whether she has sold her soul for a shot at Yahtzee glory, one can only speculate. But I am suspicious. She remains top of the league. Little Lee with the massive forehead came third in the match. He is on a pretty good run at the moment, he's knocked out some pretty decent scores of late. Even his mouth seems to be getting used a lot less in recent weeks. I thought he would be a bit distracted in this match, he's currently redecorating his room so I thought he might be a bit tired, the whole project has consumed him since he started. I'm not sure what look he's going for but there was an awful lot of chains, leather and baby oil knocking about, not to mention an array of webcams scattered about the place. Who knows what he's up to. Perhaps I don't wanna know. Either way, distracted he was not. He improved his position in the league from fourth to joint second. Fourth place in the match went to my good self. I must admit that with all the grumbling and irritated mumbling I was hearing, I was quietly confident about picking up a rare win. But as per bloody usual, it wasn't to be. After some serious introspection, I concluded that finishing fourth wasn't too bad, but unfortunately this late in the league it's just not good enough. I remain seventh in the league. Neil came fifth in the match with a rather irritable performance. As previously stated, there was much huffing and puffing to be had, a great share of it was coming from Neil's general area. While none of us played particularly fantastic, I think it's fair to say that it affected him more than anybody else, which is saying a lot as I was playing. But even with his poor score, Neil's managed to retain second in the league, albeit joint with Lee. Russell continued the evening's theme of less than optimal performances by coming in sixth. He seemed a wee bit weary, most likely due to having fever dreams the night before about his involvement in the Battle of Bosworth. He was sadly killed in the battle, but somehow he still manages to show up for the league. Good for him. He falls from joint second in the league to fourth. Such was the unremarkable nature of the scores, even Molly's turgid offering wasn't enough to see her in last place. She managed seventh in the match with a miserable sub two hundred score, which would normally see her at the bottom where she deserves to be, but not today. She does, however, still remain at the bottom of the League. Faith finished eighth in the match, which was hardly surprising as she spent the second half of the match drifting off to the land of nod. This dozing in and out of consciousness saw her drop from fifth in the League to sixth. If duff scores were a theme of the evening then Claire was our star specimen. It seems that all her malingering in hospital had made her lethargic. With sloppy rolls, sloppy decisions and an even sloppier appearance, she finished dead last in the match. She's really dug a hole for herself in this League, a hole I fear she has little time remaining to dig herself out. She remains eighth in the League.
