Summary
Match eight was another mammoth task to get played and squared away, but thanks to my unique and irritating qualities, we got it done. It was a match of mediocre scores all around, but Lee managed an increasingly rare victory, probably due to this very fact. Despite earning top points, he only managed to improve his league position from sixth to fifth. Claire did herself some justice, coming in second in the match, but, like Lee, she only managed to improve her league position by one space, from eighth to seventh. Her scores do seem to be improving slightly though. Could this be the resurgence of the champion we once knew and held a grudge against? Russell continued his good run, finishing third in the match and gaining second in the league. He has been surprisingly clear headed of late. No signs of any flashbacks of his time as a plague doctor during the black death. Neil clinched fourth place in the match. He is still maintaining his consistent run despite not even knowing what numbers are. He managed to gain a league position, finishing in third from fourth. One can only wonder what is to come next for this human(?), especially since before Yahtzee, the most mentally taxing game he ever played was Candy Crush. I finished fifth in the match with yet another predictably middle of the road effort. I dropped from fifth to sixth in the league. I'm beginning to think the only way I can earn a Championship badge is if I set up a Yahtzee League with me as the only competitor. Kerrie suffered a minor blip this week, finishing sixth in the match, but still convincingly holding firm onto the top spot. I'm not one to suggest that her crown may be slipping, but maybe that just a few competitors are giving it a bit of a flick. Faith struggled slightly this week, coming in seventh in the match, but it didn't hurt her league campaign as she managed to finish joint third with Neil. She's becoming more enfewstic with every match (if you know, you know). Molly, as reliable (hehehe) as ever came in second to last with a pretty crap performance and she couldn't improve her position in the league, remaining at the bottom... again. Millie, once again languished in last place in the match and even fell in the league from seventh to eighth.
Well, we are now over halfway through the second league and there is no foregone conclusion in sight just yet. Anything can happen in the remaining six matches, so make sure you keep up to date, and next year we will crown our second league champion!
