Summary
So this week was a double header for the Core Championship. We're certainly getting our arses into gear aren't we? Below is a summary of the individual matches. I could have split them up into two posts but I thought two games in one night should really equal one post.
Match #1
It was a good day to be Christopher Bush. I managed a glorious victory, the Yahtzee gods were on my side that evening and I thank them gratefully. I apologise for revelling in my victory, but you have to understand that it doesn't happen all that often, and what certainly doesn’t happen is me managing to get myself to the top of the league, ANY league. So I was riding high. Claire came in second, mostly because she employed her favourite tactic of waffling on like a baboon on crack. The result was not good enough for her to improve her league position. She remains in third. Russell managed third in the match, no doubt distracted by memories of his time spent as the chief witchfinder, burning witches at the stake in the early 1600's. He is current languishing in the bottom of the league. Now, I dont mean to be a cynic, but it does gives me a little smile to recount the fact that Kerrie came last in the match. She's been winning pretty consistently for a while now and more power to her. But it does get annoying. But I mean her no ill will, honest. She was knocked off her perch at the top of the league and relegated to second. But there ain't a lot in it.
Match #2
And then the smile was wiped right off my smug little mush. Kerrie only bloody won again. But thankfully her score wasn't good enough to regain the top spot. She remains second in the league, for now. Phew. Little old me came second in the match. A bit of a let down after the previous match, but it wasn't too bad. I managed to maintain top spot in the league. But it's a bit too tight at the top for my liking. Claire managed third in the match with a spectacularly average score, but it didn't affect her league position. She remains in third. In last place was Russell, bless him, with a pitiful score. Possibly his worst performance since the night I was conceived. He remains at the very bottom of the league. Oh daddy......
