Summary
The big day had arrived; the first Match of the 2026 Champion's League. We were all in super high spirits (if you can believe that) and were looking forward to the start of the second major challenge in this year's BHO calendar.
I must start off by saying that Kerrie, bless her heart, had well and truly earned her spot in the Champion's League but she decided to recind her involvement. This is fine and dandy. So, as this League is directly related the previous season's results in the main League, this meant that first refusal of involvement in this League fell to the next best player, which happened to be Lee this time around. And would you believe it, he ended up finishing first in the Match on his maiden voyage. Very well done! It must also be said that he had run out of weed a good few days before we played so he was actually "with it". Could there be a connection? I will let you make your own minds up!!
Second in the Match fell to Claire, a good performance from a woman who I had thought had no more decent performances left to offer! But credit where credit is due... I suppose...
HRH Russell, our player of the year, came third in the Match. But that's okay, because trust me, he is just getting started! The beast is about to be unleashed!
The biggest shock of the whole Match was the fact that I, the defending Champion, came last. What kind of topsy turvy world are we living in right now?! Or perhaps I just identify as a loser these days... so don't judge me!!
